Vladivostok
Vladivostok is administrative, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Primorsky region and the biggest port along Russian pacific coast. It was founded on July 02, 1860. Distance from Moscow by rail is 9288 km. Each line of Vladivostok biography is sea related. The city is spread over Muraviev-Amursky peninsular where its coasts are washed by waters of two gulfs such as Ussuriisky and Amursky. Now such picturesque islands as Russky (Russian), Popov, Reneke and Rikord are within city boundaries.

City tour & Memorial Morskoye Cemetery.
City tour is combined with a visit to Morskoye Cemetery. Morskoye (Marine) Cemetery is a memorial cemetery of Vladivostok. It was opened in 1905. A lot of famous people were buried there. Vladimir Arseniev, the explorer of the Russian Far East who died in Vladivostok in 1930 is among them. There is a monument to Varyag heroes. The ashes of the seamen from cruiser Varyag, who died in the battle with Japanese Squadron of warships on January 27, 1904 (Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905), were reburied here. There are graves of British and Canadian solders and officers, as well as Czeck legionaries, who died in Primorye in the years of intervention (1918-1922).
Vladivostok Fortress Museum.
The museum of unique Vladivostok's underground marine fortress, constructed at the end of the 19th- the beginning of 20th centuries. Vladivostok Fortress had been built for 40 years and was one of the best and largest fortresses in the world. The museum is located in Bezymyannaya Battery - one of fortress's batteries, built in 1872.
Fort #7.
One of underground forts of the main line of defense, located at the 164 meters' mountain (about 15 km north of the downtown). The fort of the 1910 has a lot of combat and underground structures. The garrison of the fort consisted of 235 riflemen, 68 artillerists, 20 machine-gunners, and 53 sappers and miners. Has no analog in the world practice.

Full-day excursion to Russian Island and Vladivostok Fortress
Boat excursion to Russian Island, the largest island of Peter the Great Gulf, separated from the mainland by Bosphorus the Eastern Strait. Being a part of Vladivostok Marine Fortress and one of Pacific Fleet Bases, Russian Island protects Vladivostok from the sea side. You will see batteries, underground fortifications of the Fortress, and unique long-range Voroshilov Battery (gun range is 38 km).

Boat excursion along Amursky Bay (1 hour).
It starts from Sportivnaya Harbor along the coastline of the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula. You will see the unusual skyline of Vladivostok from Amursky Bay, rugged coastline of the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula with its numerous small bays and points. One of them is Shkot Peninsula - one of Vladivostok's most prestigious residential districts. Further down the Western coast of the Egersheld you will see the Far Eastern Merchant Marine Academy, the beautiful white building of Amursky Zaliv Hotel resembling a cruise ship, yacht marinas. Next is the Tokarevsky Lighthouse and you are in the Eastern Strait of Bosphorus with anchored ships and Russian Island to the South.
Boat excursion along Golden Horn Bay (1 hour).
It starts from the Ferry Terminal. You will pass the Memorial Submarine, Pacific Fleet Headquarters and ships, the Marine Terminal. Docks of the Commercial Port of Vladivostok, the largest in the Russian Far East, stretch along the Eastern coast of the Egersheld. Vladivostok Fishing Port lies to the left along the coastline of Goldobin Peninsula and Churkin Cape. Next is the Tokarevsky Lighthouse, the Eastern Strait of Bosphorus with anchored ships and Russian Island to the South.
Full-day excursion to Popov Island (8 hours). Popov Island - a research base for the Far Eastern Federal Marine Preserve, located to the south of Muravyev-Amursky Peninsula which protects the environment of the extremely rich sea and island flora and fauna of the Peter the Great Gulf. It’s one of the most unique Nature Preserves islands in Russia. The Preserve covers nearly 65,000 hectares (250 sq. miles) and contains the richest variety of biological species in Russia. A fishing factory, cannery, fur-breeding farm are located on the island. 1.5-hour boat ride to Popov Island. Hiking on the shore - check out picturesque bays and beaches. Museums: Arsenyev Primorsky Krai Museum. Nature, ethnographical, archaeological and historical museum. It was opened in 1890. It has over 200,000 exhibits such as stuffed animals, herbariums, minerals, rich numismatic collection. The museum shows the history of the Primorye Region from ancient to modern times and the history of Vladivostok from the city's birth. You Can see also a Jurchengs burial complex.
Memorial Submarine S-56 Museum. Famous Pacific Fleet submarine that sank 10 fascist ships during World War II.

Museum features inhabitants of the Far Eastern seas and coasts, a collection of shells. A cranium of the famous Stellerovaya cow that became extinct in the 18th century, a stuffed ancient cluster-finned fish, etc.

The Automative Antiques Museum. The historical-technical Automotive Antiques Museum in Vladivostok was the only museum of its kind in Russia, registered at the Russian Museum League until 01.01.2002.
